I am NOT a professional photographer. Not even close….
Big admission. I do occasional paid work, but it’s rare; I don’t compete with professionals.
They are better.
You get what you pay for.
I’ve turned down gigs and referred them to those who do this for a living.
I don’t want this to be work. It might sound appealing on occasion when my RL job(s) drive(s) me up a fucking wall. But that “no illusions” thing is in effect and very real. I have none. I do what I do.
This is still a creative outlet for me and when it’s not ‘fun’ anymore…or I stop wanting to learn, challenge myself and get better, I’ll walk away.
Hopefully that won’t be any time soon.
