The big fallacy is that the photographer knows all. The shot is orchestrated, directed and scripted so: there you go. The reality is that some of the BEST images occur when the photographer is just acting as scribe and perhaps is even trying to understand or make sense of what is in front of the lens….
This is why I will NEVER be a “celebrity” photographer (real or imagined) because its easy (SO easy) to pick up a script and recite in a voice that is not your own, but rather is that of the ones whose favors you are seeking.
